Reflection Guide 1
In this term I didnt know exactly what to expect being a freshman and
all. We had to learn about all of these tools before we could use them. Once
we finally learned we started to get to work. The training stick was one of
the first things we got to use with the tools tools like the band saw and the belt
sander. I know how not to use these tools because of our training example
Billy. We got to make our sheet metal chains with our names on them to
go around the room as another training example. One last training example before the safety exam was to pick your space on the file tower and customize your spot by making your own magnet to go by your area. My magnet was a basketball hoop which was made out of all plexi glass. When it finally came down to the safety exam to see if we could use all the tools, I was ready. I ended up with a 90 which proved I was ready to go on. Once we knew the rules and how to work the machines, it wasnt time to get projects started yet. We first had to learn how to draw because if you can draw it you can build it. We learned 3
types of drawings and they were Isometric, Oblique, and Multiviews. After
spending five days on it,we had to take a test making all 26 letters in both Isometric and Oblique drawings. After we finally finished up with the drawing, we started to learn about the Hydroponics 3000 system which was a indoor growing system. Term 1 was slow at first but things started to go uphill.
