Battle Bot
Stage 1
Reflection questions Part 1
1.) In this assignment I had to build a robot that could battle other robots by picking up all the balls on my side and putting it on the other robot's side.
2.) In order to do this assignment, I had to know how to build an arm on the robot to carry the ball to the middle and drop it on the other side. I also needed to connect the robot to my phone so I could use the phone to control the robot.
3.) First, I had to find out the design, how I was going to build the arm of the robot in order for the ball to be picked up. Next I built off the robot that I already had, keeping the wheels, and I used the last arm and put it on the end of the robot so that the arm can lift the ball in the air and drop it on the other side. I then tested it in a battle and I lost. I decided to redesign the robot because I decided that the robot was too big for the small arena. I decided to put the arm over the top of the robot instead of adding it to the back. This made the robot better when it came to turns because it was small enough that it wasn't hitting the sides all the time. Once I made it smaller I felt the robot was completed and it was.

Reflection Questions Part 2
4.) The final product was a robot with two wheels at one end connected to the two arms of the robot. Above the top, center of the robot was another arm that had two gray connectors attached to the arm that went up and down. This acted as a carriage for the ball that had to be carried to the other side in the battle arena.
5.) Some feedback that I got back was to make the robot smaller so that the robot could actually turn in the arena. Also they told me to take off the gears from the wheels because there wasn't much of a point to them. I used this information and feedback by making the robot smaller, putting the arm on the top of the robot and taking off the gears which also made to robot slightly bigger.
6.) I learned during this assignment that the first product of something isn't always the final product. Changes can be made after finishing something and changes should be made to improve since you want to try to always improve. I also learned that the arm of the robot can function in different ways other than just moving the wheels. The arm can also make the robot try to grab something.
7.) If I were to do this project again I would try to get the first product done faster instead of doing it too late and rushing to do it at the end. Doing this was hard because by the time I made my 2nd product I didn't have much time to battle.
